This page explains what Access Boise collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you type into it, so that we can reply. We do not use that address for anything else, we do not add it to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share it.

Like almost every website, our server keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested and the time. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies to keep the site working. In addition, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Third-party advertising vendors set their own cookies and we do not control them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Affiliate links and bookings

Some articles carry affiliate links to travel services through Travelpayouts. If you book through one, this site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Articles with links we placed ourselves say so above the first link, and those links are marked as sponsored.

This site takes no bookings or reservations of any kind, handles no payments and holds no tickets or rooms. Any booking is a contract between you and the travel company, under its own terms, and we are not a party to it and carry no responsibility for it.

Pages on this site also load a script from Travelpayouts (tpembars.com), called Drive, which can add affiliate links, travel recommendations and previews to the page. It runs in your browser, and Travelpayouts and the travel services it links to may set their own cookies. Following one of these links does not identify you to this site; the service you land on has its own privacy policy. A content blocker stops the script, and the site still works.

Analytics

We use Google Search Console, which reports aggregate search data and does not identify individual readers.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete any message you have sent through the contact form, and we will. Use the contact form to ask.
